Is it REALLY a Camera?

Nope, it's a mini album! I got the directions from Laura Denison. I wanted to make something for my son. A regular mini album would simply not do. It had to be special and unique. He is a photography buff and this seems perfect for a guy.

A work in progress

There are photo mats inside the bellows.

Space for 4 photos in each of 8 mats for a total of 32 photos in the bellows portion.

The gears, key, etc are all Tim Holtz or Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby.

Constucted with cardstock and chip board.

The "glass" in the door is acetate with crackle medium applied to it.

Inside the back of the camera is a box for 7 photo mat folders that hold 4 each for a total of 28 photos.

The metal file tabs and film strip are Tim Holtz.

The map papers are from Hobby Lobby.

Stampin' Away!

Stamp Your Art Out Met today and we had such a good time:) Here are the projects we made. The first one was done by sponging then sprinkling kosher and rock salt on top followed by spritzing with water. After allowing to dry and removing the salt we were left this nice "water bubbles."

Masculine Mini Album

This one is for my son. The papers are from Stampin' Up! and Hobby Lobby. This is another horizontal paper bag album. A tutorial is posted on a previous post.

The leather strap is grunge paper (Tim Holtz) that I died with Distress ink. The buckle is from Tim Holtz as well and attached to the grunge paper strap with a brad. 

The coin is from a trip to Mexico, the round silver object with an inital, is a cuff link that belonged to his great grandfather and the silver Harness Horse was on a tie tack that belonged to his grandfather. He was given the tie tack one year that he was leading driver at Maywood Park track.

Horizontal Paper Bag Album Tutorial

Here is another paper bag album. This one was made with paper from Graphic 45, "Typography." I decided to make this book to house my collection of quotes. I've been collecting quotes and inspirational bits since college. I have them in a few different journals. I've been typing them to put in this book. All in one place. These tags pull out from the bag opening. The file folder tab was done with the envelope punch board from Stampin' Up!

The bottom of the bag serves as a pocket.

Each bag has two gussets. Cardstock flaps have been inserted into them creating more spaces for pictures or in this case, quotes.
