Calendar Easel

Aren't these little calendars fun? They make such a thoughtful little gift for someone. Using Stampin' Up! double-sided paper is just too cute on this project! On the first one I used "Pretty Petals" and on the rest, "Birthday Bouquet" designer series paper. Notice how different the last three look, all the same paper, just different sides. The patterns in a pack all coordinate, which makes it so elegant and fun to use. I'm making a handful to take to some of the shut-ins at our church.

This easel is constructed differently than what I've made in the past. Here is a FREE tutorial

Placing & Adhering Die Cuts

In my last post, I shared how Glad Press 'n Seal helps glue intricate dies on your projects. Using Press 'n Seal with Stampin' Up's Fine Tip Glue Pen makes adhering diecuts a breeze! The Fine Tip Glue Pen offers precision application and has a needle in the top, to prevent the glue from clogging. I LOVE this stuff!!

I don't do videos, but Jennifer McGuire does, and she has one that demonstrates how to use this fantastic kitchen tool.

Pretty Petals

I just got this new patterned paper this week and I love it!!!! Stampin' Up! calls its patterned paper, Designer Series Paper, or DSP for short. Why? cause each set is double side with coordinating prints and colors, and it is thicker than most other brands. This pattern is called "Pretty Petals" and coordinates perfectly with the Wild About Flowers stamp set.

Now, you wanna hear a tip for glueng thinlits that's the coolest thing since sliced bread?? Once simple thing makes gluing those gorgeous, but pesky thinlits... Glad Press N' Seal.  Simply lay a piece down with the sticky side up. Then place your thinlit on top back side up. Use the Fine Tip Glue Pen to apply small dots of glue on several places of the framelit shape. Turn your Press N' Seal over on top of the card and  place it straight down without smearing. Easy Peasy. No smears of glue leaking out the edges to mess up your gorgeous card.

Sharing Fun and Feathers

I heard a cat meowing outside and then our Australian Shepherd, Cricket,  barking last night. This morning I saw this. She looks pretty innocent doesn't she? My husband is doubtful, but I believe Cricket.
