1.          Cut a piece of white cardstock 3 x 4 ½ turn over to wrong side facing up.
2.          Line up in the corner of a piece of grid paper.
3.          Draw a line at 1 ½ inch, which is the center.
4.          Make a mark ½ inch from the top
5.          Make another mark ¾ inch from the bottom
6.          Draw a tiny arrow to remind which end is the top.
7.          Use the Modern Label punch. From the top, slide it into the punch. Slide the punch all the way in and enter it. The width of the cardstock is about the width of the punch. Punch, now you have the horizontal piece of the cross.
8.          Then line up the punch the other way looking for the little mark at the top. Make sure the mark is in the center on the right of the punch and that the pencil line is directly in the center.
9.          Then line up the punch with the mark you made at the bottom of the card stock. Make sure again that it is centered. Punch once more.
10.      Stamp sentiment on the other side, the right side.

I have a very old stamp of  The Creation of Adam  by Stamp of Excellence. It’s that fresco painting by Michelangelo, which forms part of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling, which illustrates the creation narrative from the Book of Genesis in which God breathes life into Adam. It must be 20 years old and I love it dearly! We first stamped that, then masked it and stamped a background script of the book of Genesis by Stamp Out Cute on it over top. On the inside we used a stamp of the Lord’s prayer.

Stamp Out Cute has gone out of business, and Stamp of Excellence no longer has the Creation of Adam stamp. I'm SO GLAD I kept them!!
