Stitched and Tufted

Boy did I go around and around with this card design! I had the layout in mind, using the Stitched Labels Framelits with the daisy and Tufted embossing folder. I wasn't sure what colors I wanted to use, so I got out my handy Color Coach which is available FREE HERE.  I really liked Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo. They're so bright and cheerful!  I stamped and punched using the Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating punch. I was happy with it, but then I looked at the rose from the Botanical Tags Thinlits and thought oooooh pretty!!

Double Easel Card

Here is another double easel card. The tutorial for this type card is in this post.

  • On watercolor paper use an Aqua Painter with Petal Pink and Powder Pink inks to create a wash for the background.
  • Cut the framelit from Stitched Labels from watercolor paper, then use the same procedure to wash color on it too.
  • Stamp the flowers in Flirty Flamingo Ink and then use a Sponge Dauber in Mango Melody to the center of each flower.
  • For the larger leaf, use the same technique with Lemon Lime Twist and Shaded Spruce inks for shading.
  • Cut two stamped palm fronds and cut one from Call Me Clover cardstock.
  • Use the seed stamp from the set with Petal Pink Ink in the background. Then layer all the pieces, use dimensionals for the flowers.
  • Stamp thank you in Memento Tuxedo Black, then fussy cut.
  • Finish it with some glitter enamel dots.
