The Layering Circle Dies and the
Layering Squares dies from Stampin' Up! You can use any dies with
concentric shapes that are symmetrical (if you fold it in half, both
sides are the same).
For this card, I used the Layering
Circles dies. You need five of them. There are eight clean edged
circles in the set. (I number mine with a Sharpie for easier
identification. (I used numbers 8, 6, 4, 2, and ¾ inch punch)
Beginning with the largest circle, use
every other one, which gives you the four on the top row, for the
fifth circle use the 3/4” punch.
Next you cut each circle
from a different color of cardstock. You will need two sets, 5
circles in each set, 10 different colors.
The sizes of cardstock in
inches needed to die cut each size beginning with the largest is:
3-1/2 x 3-1/2, 3 x 3, 2-1/2 x 2-1/2, 2 x 2 and 1 x 1
Now that you have 10 circles
in 10 different colors, 5 different sizes, you are going to glue them
as shown below. I've used all the colors in the Brights collection.
The colors used below from
largest to smallest are: Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo,
Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight.

largest to smallest are: Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay,
Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green.
Next, you need to cut both
sets in half. Use a tiny pencil tic to mark the center and place on
your paper cutter. Since this is 5 layers of cardstock, choose your
cutter carefully as you don't want ragged edges. I used my newest
Stampin' Up! Trimmer, went slowly and it worked like a charm.
Prepare the greeting strip.
Cut black cardstock 1/2 by 4 inches long. Flag the ends with the
Triple Banner Punch. Stamp sentiment with Versa Mark and heat emboss
with gold emboss powder. Place foam adhesive strips in the
middle of the greeting strip.
Select the top of one circle
and the bottom of another. Dry fit on your card front for placement,
then glue the top one down only.
Next line the foam adhesive
strip up next to the bottom of the circles so that the black overlaps
just a bit. Then put glue on the bottom piece, and align it up to the
bottom of the adhesive strip, again allowing it to overlap just a
bit. You want to see some of the smallest circle, don't cover it up.
A few glimmer dots just add a nice touch.

Instead of an embossed
greeting, you could also use a diecut word from glimmer paper and
layer it over the black strip.
