Trucking Along Again and Fun Folds

I'm on a fun fold kick. I've made templates for all of them so I can remake them and I have the measurements right on the templates for easy reference. The first one is my favorite! I love how when you open the panels you can see almost the entire sheet of 6x6 designer paper. I'm using the trucking along stamp set and punch. I waited so long for it I'm really having fun with it! I'm telling you these designer series papers have gone like hotcakes. I can almost guarantee that the newest one called me entering Meadows which will come out November 1st will sell out in a hot skinny minute. So if you like it order it on the 1st I'm just saying. I don't know of a name for these folds, so I just made them up! lol

Three Piece Scene Card
  • Card base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 score @ 1-1/2 and 4-1/4
  • White: 1-3/4 x 5-1/4
  • DSP: 5-1/4 tall by 6" wide
  1. make 1st cut 2-3/4 from left edge vertically
  2. from that edge cut another piece 1-1/8
All three DSP panels make one scene
(be careful to line up front DSP over the white so the white doesn't show through, Make sure borders are even.)

Circle Flap Fold

  • Card Base: 5-1/2 x 6-1/2 score @ 4-1/4
  • Right Side Flap: 3-1/2 x 3-1/4 score @ 2-3/4 on the 3-1/4 side
  • DSP Left Side: 2 x 5-1/4
  • DSP Inside Center: 4 x 5-1/4
  • DSP Right Flap: 2-1/2 x 3-1/4
  • White Inside Right Flap: 2-1/2 x 3-1/4
  • Inside Left Flap: white 2 x 5-1/4
  • 2-3/8 Circle Punch: in DSP and cardstock; glue DSP to cardstock to have two circle thickness

Trucking Along

This stamp set and coordinating punch has been wildly popular!! It has sold out twice. I finally got one and whoa boy, It sure is fun to create with. The stamps are each a two stamp process. One for the outline and one to fill in color. SU did a fantastic job of designing them so that they fit together well.

More Online Exclusives are coming next month. I'm featuring bundle and the Meandering Meadows DSP and the Garden Meadows bundle today. All of the new products will be available for you to purchase on November 7.

I want to share a fun idea to make the best use of this amazing DSP that I learned from fellow Demo, Patty B. The following fun folds allow you to use as much of the scenery in a 6 x 6 paper as possible. I'll be emailing the directions for these folds to my customers.

I Love Blue Greens!!

Some people call it teal. Stampin' Up! There's too it as Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock. I simply adore this color!!!!!!

The first card below has a card base of Lost Lagoon and flowers from the Textured Floral stamp set were stamped in Pool Party and Balmy Blue inks. The leaves and flower centers were stamped in Blackberry Bliss. The leaves were diecut from Soft Seafoam cardstock. The bottom of the card base was embossed with Twisted Rope Embossing Folder and highlighted with some gold Enamel Effects. There is one leaf that was stamped in Parakeet Party ink, and the white ribbon was colored with Parakeet Party ink. The leaf diecuts.... well, can you believe I did not order the coordinating dies for this set??? That was a big mistake let me tell you. One I will remedy with my next order. In my defense, I bought the set to use for stamping on some prayer cards I'm making for church. Then I fell in love with the set for card making too:) The diecuts cut out the stamped images of course, and they have the most beautiful foilage - even Eucalyptus which has such a marvelous shape. These foilage dies will pair well with my retired Forever Fern set!

The card below was stamped with So Very Merry stamp set from the Online Exclusives. The card base is Pretty Peacock and the image was colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol ink markers.

So Very Merry

For this pretty card I used the So Very Merry stamp set (Online Exclusives) with the following cardstocks and papers: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Distressed Gold, and Naturally Gilded (Online Exclusives).

I stamped the bird in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then colored it with Stampin Blends alcohol ink markers. Next I cut it out using Stylish Shapes Dies. Using Tailored Tags Dies, I cut a larg tag from Distressed Gold paper, and tied a ribbon with Red & Gold 3/8" Dotted Ribbon (Online Exclusives).

After layering and adhering pieces to the card front, I added the bow and some Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Saint Nicholas

Here I used the Saint Nicholas bundle again to make this Triple Z Fold card. The papers I used were, Real Red, Basic White, Garden Green, Gray Granite and Crumb Cake.Naturally Guilded  (Online Exclusives). I sponged the white cardstock with Smokey Slate ink and a sponge. For the wallpaper effect, I used Smoky Slate cardstock and the retired Parisan Florish embossing folder. The teddy bear came from a retired set as well, and the rug was hand drawn and colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol ink markers as was the Santa, bag of toys and Santa treats by the fireplace.

Triple Pop Up Cube

I made this Triple Pop Up Cube using the Saint Nicholas bundle and the Joy of Christmas Designer Paper. I colored St. Nick with alcohol ink markers, and used Real Red, Shaded Spruce and basic white to construct the cube card. I'm very pleased with how it turned out:)
