Watercolor with Quiet Meadow

This was such fun to make!! I started with a Thick Basic White card base. Then a layer of Basic White embossed with the Scripty embossing folder. Next, I used a die from the Quiet Meadow bundle cut from vellum. Then the fun began. I experimented with Stampin' Blends and our ink pads. The blends colored nicely on the vellum, but I LOVED the watercolor look using our inks!!!! I placed some small blocks on the stamp pads to get some ink. I used the In Colors: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia and Polished Pink. I used the Water Pen to pick up ink from the block and apply to the flower. It blended so nicely.  I glued the flower to the embossed layer, then a frame cut from white with Layering Square Dies. The sentiment was done with the Many Messages bundle.

Double Z Pansy

This Double Z Fold is made just like one we did recently for a Class on the Gate. However the size of the inside piece is different.

On a different note, I've been noticing what greetings are in stamp sets as I select what I'd like to purchase. I put together a chart of the most common greetings that I use like: birthday, sympathy, thank you and thinking of you. If you'd like to have this to refer to when looking at the new catalog, here is a PDF file.

All measurements in inches

  1. For the card base, cut cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, score at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4

  2. For the pop out mechanism, cut cardstock 7 x 4-1/8, score at 2-3/4 and 4-7/8

The following pieces will be glued to the pop out mechanism

  1. Whisper White cardstock for front 4 x 2-1/2

  2. Whisper White cardstock for inside right pop out piece 1-7/8 x 4

  3. Fresh Freesia embossed with Painted Texture, inside the card base 4 x 5-1/4

  4. Designer Paper (select coordinating patterns)

center inside pop out piece 1-7/8 x 4

front left most panel on card base 2 x 5-3/8

  1. To assemble the card, first attach all the Designer Papers plus the stamped section and the white inside panel.

  2. To attach the two sections together easily with perfect alignment, fold and crease all score lines with a bone folder. The card base folds are mountain then valley. The pop out mechanism folds are the same, mountain then valley.

  3. First place the pop out mechanism on top of the folded card base and glue only the left side, be careful not to extend the glue past the first score line.

  4. Next glue the smaller section on the right to the card base.
