What the UPS Man Brought

The UPS man delivers, and I play! I've been so excited to create with all the new things I got from Stampin' Up! on Friday:) Wanna know a great tip for using this type of intricate die? DRYER SHEETS! You don't end up with any little pieces of cardstock that you have to poke out with piercing tool. Just put wax paper under the die, then the cardstock, then 2-4 layers of unscented dryer sheets. Run it through your Big Shot and wowee! Instant coolio:) I think a lady from Spellbinders came up with this??? It works with any brand of intricate die in a Big Shot. The card below was designed by fellow SU Demo, Karen Squires, and I absolutely ADORE it! I changed it up a bit, but I so love what Karen did with it:)

Jolie Fleurs

I took four years of French in school. With no way to practice or immerse myself in the language, my knowledge never flourished to say the least. Although I faked my way through reading French menus and giving some type of vague directions to a cab driver in St. Martin, my vocabulary is not very extensive. I can ask about the weather, tell  you my name, ask where the train station and bathrooms are. I do remember a surprising number of nouns. Nothing remarkable, just random things. My husband and I went shopping at a large mall this morning and one of the ladies who waited on us had the most marvelous French accent! I desperately wanted to talk with her just so I could hear her lovely voice. So what word came to my mind??? Jolie fleurs, or pretty flowers. Big sigh.. I'm afraid I made no great impression on this Frenchwoman. Oh well C'est la vie. hmmmm where did that phrase come from? Somewhere deep in the cob webs of my mind no doubt.

After all the rainy gray weather last week, we finally a few days of blue skies and sunshine:) Today it is gloomy and gray again, but rain is good. Berry Basket Bigz Die

This is another thing I'm looking forward to using when the UPS man comes down our driveway. I can just picture Valentine baskets, Easter baskets, ohhh and St. Patrick's Day baskets, and treat baskets for the staff at church.... cute little goody baskets for when a friend is sick. Lotus Blossom SALE-A-BRATION

This stamp set produces the most gorgeous flowers. Yes, I did a few cards with this color combination yesterday, but I looked in my card basket and realized that I'm low on sympathy cards. This color combination is so pretty and soothing to me. It felt perfect for a sympathy card. Butterfly Basics

I'm so excited about what my UPS man is bringing me this Friday! One of the things I'm so looking forward to have in my hot little hands is the bundle of products that made the beautiful card below. I saw the stamp set in the catalog and just swooned! Of course the butterfly dies are to die for!! lol I can't wait to create with these lovely tools:)

Painted Petals

This is the prettiest stamp set isn't it? I'm having such fun making different looks with the coordinating papers and embossing folder. Again, I've used the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper. Since it's embossed, it acts as a resist when  you sponge a coordinating ink color on it. More details on this great paper that you can earn for free on a previous post.
