Baby Sweetness!

When I sat down to make a card for my niece's baby, this is the first card I made. Then I made the crib card from yesterday's post and that won the prize. This one is cute too though, so it will go in my giant card basket. The stamp set is Fable Friends, the DSP is Best Dressed, with Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. I colored al the characters with Stampin' Blends, and the die cuts are from Stitched Layers Dies.

A cinch to make, the measurements for a  Quadruple Shutter Fold:
  • Score a piece of 5-1/2 x 12 cardstock on long edge at 4, 8 and 10 inches
  • Measure 1-1/4 from both the top and bottom of the card, cutting from the 4 inches score mark to the 10" score mark.
  • score top and bottom panels only at 6 inches

New Baby

There's a new baby in our family! I made this crib card and framed piece for the sweet little girl. The stamp set I used is Fable Friends. I colored them with Stampin' Blends, fussy cut them then mounted with Stampin Dimensionals for a 3D look. I used the Stitched Rectangles dies, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sea Foam card stock. I got the little stuffed bunny from the doll house section of Hobby Lobby and adhered it to the frame.  The nursery is done in greens as they did not want to know the baby's gender ahead of time.

I love 3D cards, so this baby crib is right up my alley! It folds flat for mailing so that is a win win. The center is meant for a gift certificate, but since we already sent gifts, I made a card with the name information on it. I thought it would be fun to include in the baby book. I had so much fun making these!!!!

More Easter Cards

These are the last of my Easter cards and they are all in the mail. Yay! The second one is done with a beautiful retired stamp that I will never sell, called Easter Message. The top card is the star and the one I made the most. I had an assembly line going for this beauty!

I wanted to make kind of an Easter bonnet for this cute little bunny (think Mrs. Peter Rabbit). I tried some small flower punches and this retired one worked perfectly.  To complete the bonnet, I needed something to make greenery, I tried a couple punches, a leaf die but they didn't have that light airy feeling I was after, so I began looking at stamps. The flower in the Positive Thoughts stamp set! I stamped in Granny Apple Green and cut just a clump of petals of each side. Then I highlighted a few places with Mossy Meadow marker. Perfecto!

Easter

Are you a fan of Beatrix Potter? I loved reading her stories to my son when he was little. When this stamp set came out my heart went pitter patter:) I'm also using it to create a 12 x 12 sampler for one of my nieces who is having a baby. She's doing the nursery in a forest theme, so this was perfect! Of course, I also sent a stuffed Peter Rabbit that sings and plays peek a boo, and some Beatrix Potter books of course!
