Purse Power!

Yesterday my monthly card group made a box with the Envelope Punch Board. It was sized to hold a set of cards to give to a friend as a gift. We were talking about making up a few to keep on hand. That way when you needed a quick gift, you're all set! The directions for that box are on the previous post, and here are two that look like a purse. This is the perfect season to make a couple to keep on hand, and Stampin' Up's designer series paper is printed on both sides which makes it PERFECT for these pretty purses!!

1. Cut cardstock 9 ½ x 9 ½
2. On Envelope Punch Board, punch and score at 3 ½ and 5 inches
3. turn 180̊ and repeat: punch and score at 3 ½ and 5 inches
4. line up both scored guide lines and punch and score (on the other two sides)
5. round one corner for top
6. 1^st score 2 ½ inches to cut off the point

Bohemian Birthdays

This product suite is so much fun to use! Everything is coordinated with color and pattern which takes the guess work out of creating. I have the embossing folder, designer series paper, washi tape, and stamp set all spread out on my desk. I just grab and create... a little of this .... a bit of that and instant chic!

Last Minute Christmas Cards

I pared down our Christmas card list this year from 60 to 35. I worked all morning getting them signed and addressed, and notes written to loved ones we don't often see. I thought I was done. I was so proud of myself as I went to the Post Office to buy stamps and get them in the mail. Then I got home....
and discovered that I needed one more card.  Big sigh...
I made three more just in case:)

November Stamp Your Art Out

I thought I had posted these, my mind must occupied with all things.... CHRISTMAS!!  My house is all decorated, clean & sparkly and the presents have all be purchased and wrapped just waiting for family to come in a couple weeks:)

The last card is a fun technique that I was glad to share with my friends.

In photography, bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light.”

It is pronounced “bow” as in bow and arrow, and the sound of “ke” when saying kettle.

1. Using a circular pattern when sponging so that the colors don’t look “scratchy,” sponge Hello Honey ink on about 1/3 of the card then add Pistachio Pudding, followed by Wild Wasabi ink and ending with Mossy Meadow
2. Stamp fern images with Mossy Meadow stamp some without reinking to add depth
3. Use circle stencils to apply white craft ink with sponge – vary sizes and amount of ink on circles
4. For a few last circles, use just the dauber to add more white bokeh dots using a twisting motion as to applied the color in a smaller size.
5. Finally stamp a couple more fern images over top of the bokeh circles. This brings some ferns more into the foreground.

2016 Occasions Mini - Sneak Peak!

I ADORE practically everything in this catalog, and am so excited to share some of it with you! I just love the colors coordinate with our cardstock. The two Valentine's Day cards were made with the new Bloomin' Love bundle. The stamps coordinate perfectly with the die, and of course there is some lovely new designer series paper that also coordinates too!
