Pressed Petals & Very Versailles

One of the things I like about Stampin' Up! is that the products can be mixed and matched so easily. While looking through the beautiful new catalog, I fell in love with the Very Versailles stamp set and Pressed Petals designer series paper. And don't even get me started about the Pressed Petals washi tape and the cute Perennial Essence Floral Centers, oh and the Scripty embossing folder. These things are not all from the same product suite, but they pair beautifully together!

All three of cards have flowers made from the washi tape. It's just so much fun to make them and very easy. The petals are placed on the roll individualy, you simply peel a petal off the roll and stick it where you'd like to create your flower. I wanted my flowers to have some dimension, so I punched out a circle from cardstock and then applied 6-8 petals around the circle to form a flower.

Take a look at the images on one of the sheet patterns. They are ready to cut out and use on a project. These photographs of pressed flowers are amazing.

Come Sail Away

This is such a versatile bundle and so much fun to work with. I've been using it with the Designer Series Paper so far, which contains blues. I think I'm going to make a girly one with Rococo Rose next.

Floral Birthday

I used a color I haven't been that fond of today. Terracotta Tile is similar to Calypso Coral, but with less orange tones and I just kind of thought 'eh." However, when paired with Rococo Rose, ahhhhh big swoon. I really like it! The Designer Series Paper "Woven Threads" uses all the new In Colors. When I looked at this particular sheet with Rose And Terracotta together, I liked it.

For the frame, I used the Stitched Rectangle dies, cut out a frame, then ran it through the Big Shot with the Tin Tile embossing folder. That gave me a frame with some texture. I layered that on top of a frame cut from Rococo Rose to really give my frame some pop.

The flowers were colored with Stampin' Blends and adhered with Dimensionals. I cut the band from Terracotta Tile and cut off the band, leaving me with just the swirly pattern. Now I have a pretty Birthday card.

Band Together Again

I promise this Band Together bundle, is a must have in the new catalog! There are so many ways to use the bands and don't even get me started on the lovely flower.

This new In Color, Pretty Peacock is such a soothing shade and so pretty. I used the Stitched Rectangles dies AGAIN! Awesome things they are! I wanted to give them some texture, so I looked through my embossing folders and thought the Tin Tile embossing folder would do the trick. After cutting my 'frame' with two rectangles, I embossed it. Then to give it a bit of a punch, I sponged a bit of Pretty Peacock ink over top. For the flower, I stamped off twice so the Pretty Peacock ink would be very subtle. I only colored the flower center.

I forgot to include the Foam Adhesive Strips in the supply list. They are found on page 183 of the catalog. I placed strips around the perimeter of the frame to give it some more dimenson. You could use Stampin' Dimensionals as well, but I thought the height should be uniform, and if anyone looked at the side of the card... They wouldn't see any gaps. Yeah, that's my OCD showing a bit! lol
