A Cavelade of Christmas Cards

These are the last Christmas cards of the year for me. This finishes up the batch I'm making for a friend at church. Although it just occured to me about a lady who recently moved into assisted living. It was very hard for her to leave her house and she hasn't been to our Ladies group in several months. I should make another one and send it to her.

Dashing Away With Deer

Dashing Deer is one of the most versatile Christmas sets I have! Here, I paired it with the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper, and I used the coordinating colors of ink and cardstock: Gray Granite, Merry Merlot, and Tranquil Tide. The paper has copper in it and I'm out of Copper Foil, so I used Gold. Mixing metals is currently popular, so I thought I'd be safe. I finished all my Christmas cards and mailed 47 of them this week. A friend asked me to make her a dozen Christmas Cards, so I don't have time to order any additional supplies. Let this be a lesson to you..... if you run out of one of the colors of foil, stock back up. You never know when You'll need them! I have plenty of silver, but my next order will have gold and copper for sure.

December Card Ministry

We made birthday cards for the seniors in the congregation and something a little differnet. The Tropical themed cards are going to be scattered throughout the sanctuary in hymnals. A little Post-It note reads: "St. John's Card Ministry has provided tis card for you to  share God's love. Send it to someone who could use a little cheer." Inside each one we stamped a scripture from Our Daily Bread Designs. Last month, we stamped thinking of you on them.

A Collection of Cards

This week I made some thank you cards for the United Methodist Women to use at Church. While making them, I came across my pile.... you know that pile of left over pieces and parts that we save to make another card with later? Well The rose on the first one has been in my pile for quite a while, because the stamp set has retired lol! I love the look of the brick wall done with embossing paste and our decorative masks. The flower was done on Shimmery White cardstock and colored with an Aqua Painter and reinkers.

I've been busy making lots and lots of these calendars to give to the shut-ins at church, and some friends for Christmas tuck in gifts. It's a great way to use up retired DSP! This one is for me. It will sit on my computer desk. The directions were printed in a previous post, and you can find them here.
