New Packaging: Stamp & Die Organizers

The shift begins with November 2025 Online Exclusives.

Sometimes change can be hard, but as we use something new we often find that we love it! Take the new colors Secret Sea and Cloud Cover for example. When we first saw them online, several of us in my Demonstrator group were skeptical of these colors thinking they were two more shades of gray. Then they came in the mail and wowee! We found how gorgeous and versatile they were!! Secret Sea especially, it's not just a darker shade of Night of Navy. It has a different tone altogether and it is supremely beautiful!!!

When we first learned aobut the new stamp and die organizers, I decided to embrace the change and quickly converted alllll of my stamps to this new system, and I am totally loving it! The amount of space my stamps and dies now take up is so significant making my craft room flow so much better and feel happier.

Catch the vision—  First, take a look at the post about my Mini Craft Room Makeover here: https://scmagnolia.blogspot.com/2025/09/craft-room-mini-make-over.html

Look at all this beautiful low profile space!!

I want to highlight the benefits of moving in this storage direction! Here are a few of them:

  • The profile is slim (5-5/8" x 9") and takes up less space.

  • With printed artwork on the front (for dies, too!), you can flip through and quickly find what you’re looking for.

  • It’s now easier to store coordinating stamps and dies together.

Happy Fall Y'all!!

Let me tell you about two new embellishments. The Streaked Dots, look like Tiger's Eye which I've always loved. Tiger's eye is a gemstone that is usually a rock. It is mainly used for jewelry-making and decorations.

Ribbon Wranglers

To keep your ribbon from unwinding and making a mess, make these Ribbon Wranglers! A simple fix with a strip of cardstock and you will have no more messy ribbon spools! I've done this to all of my ribbon and they are now wrangled into submission! PDF directions

All you need are:

  • glue
  • Thick Basic White cardstock
  • scissors
  • Hole Punch Assortment
Cutting Thick Basic White Cardstock
  • Regular Size Ribbon Spools: cut cardstock 1/2” x 5-1/2”
  • Wide Ribbon Spools: 1/2” x 8-1/2”
  • Thread Spools: 1/2” x 2-1/4” mark it in the center

Hole Punch Assortment  https://www.stampinup.com/products/hole-punch-assortment?demoid=2109078

  1. Insert cardstock into hole on ribbon spool, leave about one inch sticking out on the other side.

  2. Fold cardstock around the spool, creating crease marks along the edges of the spool. Allow some overlap, then trim off excess.

  3. With a pencil, mark the center of the cardstock the width of the spool.

  4. Use punch out a slit where pencil line is.

  5. Even up crease lines and crease well.

  6. Reinsert cardstock strip into ribbon spool and glue where the ends overlap.

  7. With the end of the ribbon on your right, insert ribbon into the slit shaped hole towards your left. Pull tight. Slide ribbon gizmo away from the ribbon end to shorten length of ribbon hanging out.

Thread Spool:

  • For a spool you make it a little differently. You just create a little cap that you can place on the end and twist this to tighten it up.

  • With a new spool, there is just the tiniest bit of spool to work with. It's easier to get a spool that is almost gone to make them for newer spools that already have so much thread on them.

  1. Cut cardstock to 1/2” x 2-1/4” and mark it in the center. Using the 1/8" hole punch to create the hole.

  2. Wrap the cap around tightly and glue. Hold for a few seconds to allow glue to dry.

  3. Take the little cap off. Thread the Linen Thread or Baker's Twine through the center of the cap, around the end then down the through the hole you punched.

  4. Place the cap back on the spool and twist it until .

  5. If there is a lot of thread, you might want to hand twist it. As you twist, it kind of locks into place.

Pretty Pinks!

This card wasn't hard, and it took a while to make but it turned out so pretty. I got the idea from fellow Demo, Joanne James. I love looking at other's color combos. In this case, I wouldn't have thought to use gray in the background, and yet it is gorgeous. I'm still thinking about whether or not I want to add some gems or resin dots... maybe some sequins. I just got a  box of new Stampin' Up! goodies to play with and now my attention is divided! lol

Still Blooming in September

Flowers are still blooming all over our yard here in South Carolina. Love the colors in this patterned paper! Petunia Pop is the bomb! You know when I was a teenager my comforter was a large colorful floral and the main color was very close to Petunia Pop:) My Mom was thrilled because I had some pink in my room lol! I was a tomboy who loved blue and she was always trying to subtly make a girl out of me.

Notice the sentiments on the inside? They are from a retired set. As all card makers do, I look for just the right sentiment for card to send to someone. Thanks to my Sentiments Binder, I can quickly and easily find just the right one out of my huge collection of stamps. A blog post and pictures are here: https://scmagnolia.blogspot.com/2025/09/craft-room-mini-make-over.html

Craft Room Mini Make Over

Since Stampin' Up! is changing the stamp packaging to envelopes instead of the CD cases, I decided to retro fit my stamp sets. Come watch the video and take a look at the photos. The Avery Elle Envelopes I used are from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Avery-Elle-SS-5001-Storage-PkgLarge/dp/B01LVVB59K/ref=sr_1_1_pp?sr=8-1

This is a kind of before photo of my stamp storage, I had just decided to convert to envelopes & bought the hot pink cratess to put envelopes in. After putting a few in the crates, I thought there's no way I want to take down an entire crate full of stamps to look through them for the one I want.

Before storage table. I looked over here and began thinking how else I could store the crates of stamps.

After: I moved the crates of stamps now stored in envelopes, to this taple top. This is right next to the basket of cards.

After: I moved the file box of current Patterned Paper to the storage cube where the CD storage case full of stamps was. I like this because now all my papers are in one spot. Current patterned paper on the left, then two file boxes of current cardstock. On the shelf below is a box of retired cardstock and one of retired patterned paper.

The diecutting and computer area didn't change.

My desk area did not change either, even Tesla is at home in her spot! I love having my childhood furniture in my craft space. My parents died when I was a young adult and this comforts me more than I can say. Besides, why shell out the big money to install cabinets and countertops when that money can be used for MORE ART AND CRAFT MATERIALS! lol Besides, I am my Scottish parents daughter, very practical; reuse instead of buying new.

Sentiments Binder

I have always copied the stamp insert page and filed each one in my Sentiments Binder. That way when looking for a sentiment and greeting for a card, I can easily see what I have available. After the mini makeover of my craft room, I wanted to make my binder more efficient. So I stamped all the sentiments and greeting in alllll of my stamps sets. I then wrote the name of the stamp set, drew a line then added the next one. I have dividers labeled with occasions such as: birthdays, thinking of you, thank you, baby, wedding/anniversary, etc.
