Peony Builder

The Peony Die set has 17 pieces, some to cut out stamped images and some to 'build' a peony and three leaves. When I first got this bundle I looked at the 'peony builder' pieces and when huh??? I could easily identify petal pieces, but I thought, what the heck am I supposed to do with them? The leaf shapes were easy to point out too, but what about those pieces that look like fish skeletons??  I figured it out and once you know how, it is quick and easy! I made a video to show you how easy this really is.

Pretty Peonies

This is such a lovey product suite. My Grandma planted  peony bush on the farm and by the time we moved there it was huge and slap full of the most beautiful flowers. I remember picking flowers from the low branches that I could reach to take to my Mom. I walked by that bush every day on my way to meet the bus at the road. I looked up our old place on Google Earth and that peony bush is still there! I bet all or most of the perennials that Grandma planted are still thriving as well.

When I first saw this stamp set in the catalog I knew I had to have it! As you can see from the diagram below the samples, there are dies to cut out the stamped images, and there also dies to build a peony with, as well as leaves. It's so simple to put the pieces together to create a lovely peony. In the next day or so I will add a video showing how quickly and easily you can create a peony with the builder die pieces.

Forevery Greenery

This first card is pretty clean and simple for me and you know where I got the design? In a dream! I literally woke up yesterday morning with this card in my head. I used the new Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing folder to give that white base some subtle texture. The frame was done with rectangle dies and I used Foam Adhesive Strips to pop up that frame.

The second card was such fun to make. The card base is vellum! Which I never would have thought of using if it hadn't been for fellow Demo, Mikela Titteridge, from the UK. I just love the ethereal look vellum gives. Mikela had the presence of mind to add stability by adding card stock to the bottom portions. Of course I just had to try out the Reversible Ribbon (Pretty Peacock/Old Olive) Oh My is it ever PERFECT with this DSP!! I just swooned when I was tying the bow!
