This technique has a few different names: Floating Strips, Floating Elements or Floating Circle Technique. I've also seen it done a few different ways:
- strips of different colors of cardstock popped up on a diecut circle, with strips of DSP adhered to vellum popped up on card front
- strips of DSP adhere to vellum, some random patterns, some sequential,
- some floating elements on rectangles and some on circles
- strips of DSP placed sequentially on acetate popped up on card front
While reading about different variations, I decided to try using window sheets and a piece of DSP cut into strips and arranged sequentially so that you see the original design in the DSP. I got ideas and inspiration from Jessica Urrutia, Lorraine Cich, Josanna Cauler and Deb Smeak.
