Candle Screens

These flameless candle screens are very easy to make and are a great thing to use in your home decor for the holidays or to give as a gift.

For the Halloween screen, I used the gate diecut on two sides and stamped images on the other two sides. For the Christmas screen, I used the Bethlehem village scapes on all four sides.

1. Cut two pieces of cardstock measuring 4 x 8-1/2 inches, then score at 4" and 1/2"
2. Use Layering Circles Thinlits to cut out circles in each of the 4 panels
3. Cut 4 pieces of vellum 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches and adhere on the inside of each circle cut out
4. Adhere Detailed Gate Thinlit, or Bethlehem town strips over the vellum.
5. Fold all score lines and adhere the 1/2 inch strip at the ends to form a box.

Fall into Christmas

The First card Was done with Colorful Seasons stamp set and Thinlits. I used Shimmery White to watercolor a wash, then die cut the leaves and a flower. The chair and detailed leaf are cut from Always Arthichoke. The splatters are from the Touches of Texture stamp set I washed a bit of Crushed Curry with an Aqua Painter on the background too. The ribbons Old Olive 1/8 Sheer, Wild Wasabi Seam Binding, and Lemon Lime Twist Ombre. Puched 1-3/4 Circle from Whisper White.

Smoky Slate card base 4-1/4 x 11. Score at 5-1/2 and 2-3/4 inches. The background panels are Night of Navy cut at 2-11/16 x 4-1/8 and 5-7/16 x 4-1/8.  The city scapes were cut from Whisper White and Sahara Sand (2 of each) the front panel is then cut to fit.

I meant to emboss the greeting directly on the Night of Navy, but didn't realize that I didn't have silver embossing powder until AFTER I had stamped it. <roll eyes> I grabbed an iridescent ice, but that didn't show up. Sooooo I stamped in Silver Metallic Encore on Whisper White to cover up the mistake.

I got the idea for this design from fellow Demo Brian King, but I changed the dimensions and colors around a bit.

Musical Christmas

For today's creation, I used a card sketch from Quintessentially Me. Initially I had a horizontal element using a stamp in the center of the card, but when it came time to consider the greeting, nothing looked quite right. So I decided to cover the stamped area with the greeting. I used Copic Markers to add color.

1. Adhere the piece of Wood Textures DSP to the strip of Basic Black cardstock and adhere this to the card front.

2. Stamp the large leaf from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla cardstock and then stamp the large leaf lined image on top of this using Early Espresso. Cut out using the Thinlits.

3. Stamp the small leaf in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla cardstock then cut out with Thinlits.

4. Cut out a lined leaf image using Basic Black cardstock and Thinlits.

5. Layer the leaf pieces together and adhere to the card front. Add a Linen Thread bow.

6. Cut Happy Birthday Thinlits from Basic Black cardstock.

7. Add some sequins to finish.\

2. Stamp flowers onto 4 x 5-1/4 Whisper White cs. Use Sweet Sugarplum 1st & 2nd generation stamping to get depth of color. Use Early Espresso for the flower centers.

3. Stamp bees, small flowers, alphabet cluster, and large splatter in Sahara Sand.

4. Stamp Greeting in Early Espresso.

1. Stamp ferns onto Whisper White cardstock then emboss with Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. 2. The dragonfly is a 2 step image; use the second solid layer over the detailed image. Use a sponge dauber to apply a second, darker color to the solid image before stamping. Brush a bit of Wink of Stella on top.
3. Place a piece of 1/4" Copper Trim across bottom.
4. Attach the punched sentiment piece and dragonfly with Stampin' Dimensionals

Musical Season

This bundle caught my eye the first time I saw the Holiday Catalog. There is some beautiful musical designer series paper in the catalog as well, however, I chose to get the Sheet Music background stamp from the main catalog instead. Here, I tore one side and then sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. After using all the red dots I had, I realized that I could simply use a hole punch to create dots from red glimmer paper! I'll make of this style card with that in mind:)

Christmas Offerings

This design is from fellow Demo, Anna Smith. I've always wet the watercolor paper and then dropped reinkers or paint onto it to get a washed background. Anna applied ink from an ink pad to a clear block, then spritzed it with water, and "stamped" onto watercolor paper. I've often sprinkled salt, but loved how much better the affect was when you Spritz a bit more water on top of the salt. The colors used were: Marina Mist, Island Indigo, and Night of Navy.

Both the village scenes where die cut from glimmer paper and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The At Home With You stamp set was used on the following card. I love how the door looks when stamped on the Wood Grain designer series paper. The little wreath is available as one of the embellishments in the main catalog.

Beginning at the top sponge Calypso Coral in circular motions, then Peekaboo Peach, making sure to overlap colors to blend.

Use MISTI to stamp Bethlehem village in Crushed Curry

Use MISTI to stamp Mary, Joseph and greeting in Black (use lots of ink)

Stamp stars in gold metallic, don't press hard when stamping so you won't get an ugly line.
