Multi Panel According Fold Card

This is a time consuming card, but it's so cool! Click here for a PDF of directions. I didn't use ribbons to fasten my cards because when giving to non stampers they find it fiddly and cumbersome. Actually, I'm a stamper and I find it drives me a bit nuts. lol On the front you'll see some glitter dots. Those are there because.... you guessed it, to cover a goof and I couldn't use just one:) One more thing, as usual, I did not use" for each inch measurement. It's just such a pain and I think it's a bit confusing/combersome when reading a bunch of measurements for directions. Besides we all use inches in the U.S. Yeah, and I am a retired teacher!

Measurements for the base of the card

Whisper White cardstock

cut 5-1/2 x 12 score at 4 and 8

cut 4-1/2 x 5-1/2 with the 4-1/2 inch side at the top, score at 4 inches

cut 3-1/4 x 8-1/2

cut 3-1/4 x 9 long side at the top score at 8-1/2 inches

Insert measurements

Poppy Parade Cardstock

cut (six) 3-3/4 x 5-1/4 (two are for the front and back)

Mango Melody Cardstock

A cut (two) at 1-3/4 x 3 (1^st and last panels)

B cut (two) at 2-1/2 x 3 (2^nd and 5th panels)

C cut (two) at 2-3/4 x 3 (two center panels)

Whisper White Cardstock

A cut (two) 1-1/2 x 2-3/4 (1^st and last panels)

B cut (two) 2-1/4 x 2-3/4 (2^nd and 5th panels)

Designer Series Paper

C cut (two) 2-1/2 x 2-3/4 (two center panels)

cut (two) 3-1/2 x 5 front & back (back optional)

Join the long pieces of Whisper White

Join the 5-1/2 x 12 piece to the 4-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece by putting Tear & Tape at the end where the 1/2” score line is. Accordian fold so that it looks like an W.
Join the 3-1/4 x 8-1/2 to the 3-1/4 x 9. With the long side at the top, score at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2, then flip the paper around and score at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2 on the other end.
On the 12 inch long piece cut a rectangle from each section using the #5 die (begin counting with the largest die). Be sure to center.
Cut rectangles from only four of the 3-3/4 x 5-1/4 Poppy Parade pieces. Use rectangle die # 4. Glue these to the outside of the rectangles cut in the 12 inch long white piece.
Decorate the two 2-1/4 x 2-3/4 white pieces, which are the 2^nd and 5^th panels. Then glue on the Mango Melody pieces that measure 2-1/2 x 3.
Glue two pieces of DSP to the two center pieces.
Decorate the two 1-1/2 x 2-3/4 white pieces. (these will be the 1^st and last panels) Glue on 1-3/4 x 3 Mango Melody pieces. Glue DSP on the other two Mango pieces. Then glue to each section of the smaller white accordian piece.
Dry fit before adhering: Place Tear & Tape on the front side, of the left and right ends of the decorated accordian. Attach to the back of the larger Poppy piece, thread through the inside then secure to the back of the right end.
Place the last two Poppy pieces (3-3/4 x 5-1/4) to the front and back of the assembled card and decorate

Floating Panel Card

Card Base (Pool Party)

8-1/4 x 4-1/8 score at 6 inches

4-1/8 x 2-1/4 for front panel

4 x 3 for larger panel under pattern

Whisper White

5-3/4 x 3-7/8 insert

3-3/4 x 2-3/4 for front panel

DSP 3-7/8 x 2 (cut 2)

Stamping and/or die cuts for front panel – nice to have elements that extend beyond panel

Assembly

score 8-1/4 x 4-1/8 card at 6 inches
assemble front panel (while on base color card)
stick DSP to top fold and separate small 4 x 3 base color
allign that to bottom of card (piece of blue tack to hold in place)
attach decorated panel with snail to the 2 panels that go behind
place insert in – ensuring it lines up with DSP each side for neatness

Mountain Air Is Calling My Name

I have three cards to show you today. The first one is my favorite!! It's a different version of a card I did recently where I cased (copy and share everything) a card from the catalog. This time I changed it up a bit, by adding Mossy Meadow frames, using a diecut tree, and stamping the tree line then brayering grass. The sponge brayer works so well for this as it leaves a texture and a more consistant coloring than if using a sponge dauber.

First I brayered some Seaside Spray ink at the top of my cardstock for the sky. For the mountains, I used the re ersible side of the satmp and stampedof Highland Heather twice for the mountains furthest away. Then I stamped off Highland Heather once for the next set of mountains. The last line of mountains was Night of Navy stamped off once. The interesting thing I found when stamping off a solid stamp onto printer paper, was that the stamp picked up the texture from the paper. I didn't really like that, so I used Whisper White cardstock to stamp off of. It is sooooo smooth, and leaves no texture. I also found that I liked using my Stampin' Pierce Mat for the stamping off. You have to be sure to stamp lightly, or you will get 'lines' from the edge of the stamp pad on your stamp... and you don't want mountains with ink lines in them lol.

For the foreground mountains, I flipped the stamp over to the detailed side and stamped in Night of Navy ink. Iw wanted to diecut this mountain line, but not the bottom because I wanted to stamp the tree line. So, I simply layed the die on the mountains, and puled the bottom of the paper out in front of the die so that it only cut the top of the mountains.

Next I stamped the treeline in Mossy Meadow ink beginning at the base of the mountains. I used my sponge brayer again to add Mossy Meadow grass in the foreground. Then I adhered this to the layer of solid mountains and trimmed the bottom a bit to fit.
