I made this card for my son, who is an avid fisherman. I began coloring water with a Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Marker, but wanted more definition, so I used the splotches and dots stamps from the Waterfront stamp set. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Band Together in Classic Colors

Band Together is such a sweet bundle! I've enjoyed using it this year. The spaces in the lacy diecuts are flexible enough to acommodate many different text stamps. I used the Peaceful Moments stamp set for the sentiments again. I've used that set a lot also. I think the two embossing folders on these cards really add a classy touch. I just checked the inventory status as some customers placed orders this week. Fortunately their products are in stock and shipping. Do You Have a Jammed Punch?

I recently had a punch that jammed. It was few years old so not under warranty, so I called the wonderful people at Demo Support to see if they had any suggestions.

Drop or throw it gently on a carpeted surface.
Step on it to punch through card.
Put it in the freezer overnight.

I tried the freezer option and it worked. The metal shrinks in the cold and then expands again when warm. Whatever is misaligned fixes itself during the shrinking stage.

A Demo friend of mine stepped on an old punch she had. She said it made a horrible noise and she thought she’d broken it, but it started working again.

Did you know that you could sharpen punches by punching through aluminum foil?

More Easter Cards

These are the last of my Easter cards and they are all in the mail. Yay! The second one is done with a beautiful retired stamp that I will never sell, called Easter Message. The top card is the star and the one I made the most. I had an assembly line going for this beauty!

I wanted to make kind of an Easter bonnet for this cute little bunny (think Mrs. Peter Rabbit). I tried some small flower punches and this retired one worked perfectly. To complete the bonnet, I needed something to make greenery, I tried a couple punches, a leaf die but they didn't have that light airy feeling I was after, so I began looking at stamps. The flower in the Positive Thoughts stamp set! I stamped in Granny Apple Green and cut just a clump of petals of each side. Then I highlighted a few places with Mossy Meadow marker. Perfecto!
