Feeling Springy

Spring in the south is magical. There are flowers and plants of every kind, plus the temperatures are near perfect. So the Artistically Inked bundle fit the spring feeling perfectly. The first card I copied from the catalog. I used the dies to cut the colored part of the flowers behind the gold diecut. Now, however, I see that I could have stamped directly on the DSP using the Stamparatus. I'll have to work on a guide or index for the future so that I don't have to realign the stamps to fit the die each time.

Modified Gate Fold

This card begins as a gate fold, then two flaps are added to the gates. I learned how to make it from fellow Demo, Mary Deatheridge. It goes together pretty quickly.

  • You begin with an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Flirty Flamingo card base.
  • With the long side across the top, score at 2-1/8" from each end. This will make the gate fold, 2-1/8" being half of the 4-1/4" width of a standard card.
  • Cover the gates with Petal Pink cardstock measuring 2" x 5-3/8" then layer DSP on top of that measuring 1-7/8" x 5-1/4"
  • For the two flaps that are attached to the 'gates' you cut 2 pieces of Flirty Flamingo cardstock measuring 4" x 2-3/8" and mount DSP on top of each that measures 3-7/8" x 2-1/4"
  • Attach the top flap on the left side of the gate, and the bottom flap on the right side of the gate
  • You can cover the inside panels with DSP as well. The center should be white, so that the sentiment and your signature can be easily read.

Highlighting Two New Product Suites

Wow! There are so many things to enjoy using in these two product suites! Bloom Where You're Planted and Expressions In Ink are just WOW! As usual, when I get a new bundle, I make an index so that I can figure out what dies go with what stamps and how to use them all. This is where I figure it all out lol. Now that I have the indexes made, the Stamp N' Storage magnetic cards inserted in the stamp  cases, sample guides made for the DSP, and the accessories stored in a stamp case, I can begin creating! You'll see in the links to my online store below that you can order items separately or the entire suite with just one product number.

The Bloom Where You're Planted suite includes the Plentiful Plants stamp set and dies bundle, Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper, and the Paper Lattice embellishments. As you can see in the index below, there are some images that can be cut out from the DSP, which adds to all the options you have when creating with this Suite

The Expressions in Ink suite includes the Artistically Inked stamp set and dies bundle, Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper,  and the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack. I can already see that I will be buying MORE of this DSP. It is beyond gorgeous!!

The Great Outdoors

I used the Beauty of Friendship stamp set and coordinating products to make this first card. For the calendar, I used the retired set Best Catch. This calendar is for another Grand Nephew.

Two More Styles of Calendars

Here are two more styles of calendars using the new Days to Remember stamp set. The first one is made just like the Mini Album Calendar, except the stand is stationary. It's not made to close into a album. The second one was inspired by Fellow Demo Gez Carpenter from the UK.  I had never thought of having each calendar being a small page that would then flip over. How fun! I made my stand and base differently though. Edited to add photos of the rest of the months in the chipboard calendar.

This one has a chipboard stand

This one has a cardstock stand, the small calendar pages flip over
