Beautiful Friendship in Pink and Gray

Today I used the same stamp set and color scheme  on two different cards. Lovely Lipstick and Basic Gray look stunning together don't you think? The first one is my favorite!! I used the bespoke frame idea from yesterday's post, and instead of putting flowers on the inside, I chose to put them on the frame and put a brick way on the inside lol! I always love playing with embossing paste and stencils.

A Layout Challenge

For some quarentine fun,  I issued a challenge to my customers to use the sketch below to make a card.

For my card I chose to flip the design on it's side. My card base is Seaside Spray, the next layer is Whisper White stamped with Gorgeous Grape, Seaside Spray and Purple Posey. Next I used a piece of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper DSP) instead of ribbon. I stamped my flower in Gorgeous Grape with Old Olive leaves. For the offset layer underneath, I used another piece of DSP.  I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and punched out with a circle punch. The sentiment is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals and lastly, I added some Glimmer Dots for some bling.

Here are the measurements you'll need to create this Double-Z Fold card:
Seaside Spray cardstock 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 2-1/8" & 4-1/4"
Seaside Spray cardstock 8-1/2" x 2-3/4", scored at 2-1/8" & 4-1/4"
Whisper White cardstock 4" x 2-1/2"
Whisper White cardstock 1-7/8" x 2-1/2"
Designer Paper 1-7/8" x 2-1/2", 4" x 5-1/4", 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" (2 pcs)

To assemble the card, first attach all the Designer Papers plus the stamped section and the white inside panel. To attach the two sections together easily with perfect alignment, keep both sections of the card flat and attach the inside section just on the left end with Adhesive, be careful not to extend the adhesive past the first score line.  

After the left side is adhered, fold & crease both card sections on all the score lines. Place adhesive as shown on the right side of the smaller section and close the card to adhere it.

3. Whisper White 3-3/4 x 5 To make the edges of a few petals a different shade, stamp the roses in Daffodil Delight, then use a sponge dauber in some Lovely Lipstick and very lightly sponge a bit right on the stamp, then stamp it on the paper.

Beautiful Friendship

These are SIP cards with such a versatile stamp set!! And it's just gorgeous, how can you not love it? Oh, what's a SIP card you ask? Stamp, Ink, Paper. Super simple right? Plus, this stamp set is just $22.00.

I love the freedom of just composing floral designs. I don't have to worry about any fancy fold, elaborate layout, use of dies or embossing folders, just SIP. It's so MUCH FUN I tell you!

The first card uses Daffodil Delight, Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green. To make the edges of a few petals a different shade, I stamped the roses in Daffodil Delight, then I used a sponge dauber in some Lovely Lipstick and very lightly sponged a bit right on the stamp, then stamped it on the paper.

The second card has the same stamping layout as one in the previous post, but with the lovely Garden DSP instead of a blue layer.

The third card was done wiht Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Grapefruit Gove.

The fourth card has lots of color right? Cardstock layers are Real Red and Gorgeous Grape, inks are: Real Red, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, and Gorgeous Grape.

The last card uses Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzaz inks, White and Melon Mambo cardstock.

4. Cut the detailed band from Very Vailla, stamp greeting in Soft Suede ink
5. Dry fit the band, so that you can determine the placement of washi tape flower petals: two in the upper left corner and two in the bottom right.
6. Adhere the band, pearls and baker's twine bow.

5. Adhere stamped and colored birds to the vellum, THEN apply adhesive on back of vellum only behind birds so it doesn't show. Attach ribbon with glue dots
