Tent Card

I learned how to make this tent card from Fellow Demo, Robyn Pike and just had to case it! What a pretty fun fold which is also easy to make. The panel with the DSP is simply affixed to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. I just made sure to line it up with the card base so that the height was the standard 5-1/2".

June Stamping Class Part One

This fun fold is so easy to make!  I used it in my local Stamping class this week. I've seen it around the internet called various things, but I call it the Mini Flap Fold. Such a unique name right? lol! These samples use products from two different suites. The first one is from Kintsugi Inspirations beginning on page 58, and the next two are from Beautiful Gallery beginning on page 52. With the sale going on this month, some of these items just sold out, but have no fear, the ships will arrive with more stock in July:)

To make this fold, you need:

  • 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" (card base)
  • 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" score @ 3-1/4" (small card on front of card base)
  • 5-3/4" x 3-1/4" (2 die cuts, second largest square from Stylish Shapes Die) You can use any other shape in place of dies, if desired
  • DSP pattern A 4" x 5-1/4" (front of card base)
  • DSP pattern B 2" x 4 " (front flap of small card)
  • DSP pattern B 3" x 4" (inside small card)

Notes & Totes Dies!!!

This card has fun beachy feel, and I only used dies and designer series paper along with a retired embossing folder to create it. No stamping! Wow! The tote was cut from Woven Textures DSP, which is so cool for linen or straw tote bags. I really love the look that the new Beautiful Gallery DSP gives to the tote bag and the sunglasses too! I was looking for some type of print for the scarf that wasn't overpowering, I wanted subtle. I found it in Thoughtful Journey, which has carried over to the new catalog. Yay!

  • Card Base: Early Espresso Cardstock

  • 4-1/2 x 5-3/8 Basic Beige cs adhered to base

  • Emboss Basic Beige cs with the retired Old World 3D Embossing Folder, use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base

  • Layer on top another piece of Basic Beige cs, colored with a Blending Brush and a Cajun Craze ink pad

  • The purse: Notes & Totes Dies, along with the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. Floral images cut from Beautiful Gallery DSP

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock branches, cut out with one of the retired Forever Fern Dies.

  • Sunglasses were cut out from a Silver Foil cs, Early Espresso cs, and Beautiful Gallery DSP, using the Notes & Totes Bundle

  • The purse scarf: cut out from the Thoughtful Journey DSP, using another die from the Notes & Totes Bundle

  • The sentiment (from the Notes & Totes Bundle ) was heat-embossed on Early Espresso cs, using Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder
