Free Organization Files for Stampin' Up! Products

Since my old one was getting a bit ragged, I decided to create a new folder to keep my stamp pad and ink color inventory in. I wanted to use one of the new stamp sets, and chose this one called Painter's Palette. This inventory helps me keep up with which colors I have, and has the order numbers for when I need to replenish or add to my stash. Sponge Dauber Case Insert

Background Stamps

I really like to use background stamps and today I'm highlighting two of them, "Hardwood" and "Dictionary."
I simply ADORE  "Hardwood." The minute I saw it in the catalog, I knew it would find its way to the stamp set shelf in my craft room. I have used it a lot. Like most Denonstrators, I often sell stamps when they retire, preferring to keep and use current stock that is available for customers to purchase. Once a while a stamp comes along that I can not part with because it is so darn versatile and I LOVE it! These two stamps are perfect examples. I will NOT PART with them.  A while ago, an Australian Demo shared Hardwood done in various ink colors on different cardstock colors. I thought this was genius, as the looks can vary so much and give you a totally different feeling - with flowers, horses, butterflies etc. I made up a chart to show you. You can download it here in PDF format. The only problem with this nifty little chart is that my Basic Gray ink pad needs to be reinked. Yes, I did order a refill for it last week... at least I thought I did. I inadvertently typed in the number for Pear Pizzazz instead of Basic Gray. Geesh! I already have a Pear refill and I didn't realize it until AFTER I peeled off all the packaging. (slaps self upside the head) The OCD part of me will do those two samples again when the Basic Gray ink refill arrives. Anyone need a Pear Pizzazz? lol

Card in a Box

I showed this to the ladies in my Card group today and have put together some written directions for them. I've also linked to a video done by a fellow Demonstrator, and set up a Pinterest board with ideas. Although my Stampin' Up! boards are all alphabetized, I put this one first so that it would be easier for them to find:)

Cut cardstock 9 x 5 ½

Landscape side: score at 2 ^1/₈, 4 ¼, 6 ³/₈, 8 ½ then rotate

Portrait side: score at 2 ¾ 

Cardstock Mats of coordinating color: cut two 1 ⁷/₈ x 5 ¹/₈ and cut nine 1 ⁷/₈ x 2 ³/₈  

DSP: cut one 1 ¾ x 5 and nine 1 ¾ x 2 ¼

Cardstock Mat for back: Whisper White, cut one 1 ¾ x 5

Prayer Card

Our minister, at St. John's United Methodist, taught us a couple of prayer methods earlier this fall. They have been around for quite a while, but I'd never heard of them before and was delighted! One is ACTS, which stands for Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. The other method uses the fingers on your hand to remember those you should pray for. I wanted to DO something with them. At first I was thinking of a simple watercolor painting of a cross with ACTS on each of the points of the cross, and a hand of course with the explanation inside. Well, the whole idea just kind of sat in my head and I couldn't draw the cross the way I wanted. Then I thought about how I would reproduce them to share with others. I mentioned the fuzzy idea to my friend Elaine, and she said, "why not use those pretty cross stamps you have?" That's as far as I got until one day in the shower the idea just came all in a rush BAM! Every piece, how it could be arranged and even the very old stamp containing an Irish blessing on it came flooding in my mind. There is no doubt where this idea came from, it was not me. I'd tried to work it out for weeks and got nothing. The Holy Spirit presented me with this way of sharing it with others.

We made several in Card Ministry at Church this month and gave them to our three ministers to give out and use how ever they would like. Then I made 32 more for all the ladies in my Bible Study. Several other people have said they would like them as well. I keep mine in a pocket in my Blessings Book, along with paper listing those who are on our prayer lists in Sunday School and Bible Study. Below is one the cards we've made. We made several color combinations, this is the one I have. You could do something like this with many different stamps. The descriptions for ACTS and the Hand prayer methods can easily be found on the internet. If you'd like to make something like this, I have the typed information and dimensions written out. When we make several at a time, it's really easy if I have the measurements written down, cause we get to talking and laughing and ... well you can imagine when a group of friends get together to make things right?
