Card Ministry at St. John's UMC

Card Ministry meets today and we will be making birthday cards for the seniors in our congregation. This past month, the staff sent graduation cards to our HS and college graduates.

Tropical Fabulousness

This double drapery fold is very Chic isn't it? I had so much fun designing and creating this card! To make the double drapery fold, I needed a 5" x 10" piece of paper. This DSP is 6 x 6 inches. Soooo I simply taped two pieces together. The fold in the middle hides the seam. The measurements for this double drapery fold are (in inches):

Designer paper 5 x 10
On the simply Scored Board with the 10" across the top - score at 1, 1-1/2, 2-1/2, 3, 4, 5-1/2, 6, 7, 7-1/2, 8-1/2, 9
Make a tittle pencil mark at 4-1/2 and 5-1/2 - top and bottom
5 at the top, make a pencil mark at 2 and 3 - top and bottom

I LOVE how the greetings from Itty Bitty Greetings fits in the Thinlit from Stitched Labels.

Stitched All Around

Stitched All Around is not just a stand alone set. It's made to be used with many other stamp sets. There are many other stamps that will fit inside these lovely shapes. All but 2 of the stamps in Itty Bitty Greetings fit in the top Thinlit. I just got this bundle yesterday and began designing and planning right away. The first thing I did was to take a good look at the Thinlits. I cut each of them out to see what they looked like. It's interesting to me that a few of them don't really cut out they just cut a design into the cardstock (bottom 3 on the left). I made up a chart to show each piece and what size they are.

You see the Thank you stamp in the second card? That space for the text is 1/2 inch wide and you can stamp any greeting you like from Itty Bitty Greetings and adhere it on top!
