Shimmer Paint Magnolia

I tried something new and I like it! I promise it looks even prettier in real life. I tried to take photos but the shimmer and light didn't turn out well. These scans are a much better view of what they look like.

I embossed Petal Pink cardstock, one in white and the other in gold. I used a paint brush to apply Shimmer Paint on my Silicone Craft Sheet, then painted the petals. That pink tint behind the Shimmer Paint was just what I wanted. I've not heard of anyone using reinkers with Shimmer Paint before, so I thought I'd give a try. I put one drop of Pear Pizzazz Reinker in my puddle of Shimer Paint. It mixed together just fine, so I thought it just might work. It did!

I used Crushed Curry for the flower center. Then I wanted some petals to be a bit darker, so I added some Petal Pink reinker to Shimer Paint on some of the white embossed flower petals.

A LIttle Bit of Designer Series Paper

Using scraps of Designer Series Paper can make a beautiful card. And we all have small pieces right? This card highlights Perennial Essence DSP, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White and Petal Pink cardstock colors. The Country Floral embossing folder adds to the floral feel. I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies for the greeting. The two pieces of DSP measure 1-1/4 x 3-1/4 and 2 x 3-1/4 inches. The Blackberry Bliss layers behind them are 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 and 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peeks!!!

Oh boy, do I ever LOVE LOVE LOVE this set!!!!
The stamp set hs the base, the house, greetings and snowflakes. Then the Snow Globe Scenes Dies has dies to cut out those  AND an adorable little church, trees, polar bears and a deer. So many possiblilites! You can stamp the base and die cut it like in the second card or you can die cut a scroll design as in the first card. This designer series paper, has copper foil in the pattern, so using copper foil sheets to die cut additional pieces coordinates so beautifully. Oh and we have new metallic inks, copper, silver and gold. It doesn't smear like the old Encore Metallics did. I just let it dry for a few minutes and it was good to go. I love that because embossing with the heat tool is kind of messy for me. Now I can get the metallic without getting out the powder, heat tool etc.

The globe part is super EASY. They come in a package of 10 with adhesive strips on the front and back for fullproof use. We also have Snowflake Sequins to put in the globes:) OH and I almost forgot the puff paint! Oh my gosh, I never get tired of heating it up and watching it PUFF up! What a great way to get a snowy look.

Then there is the designer series papers in this catalog. This one is my very favorite, although I sure do love some others. There is a Christmas Toile, Plaid, and one that has very unique  colors for Christmas like Purple Posy, Balmy Blue, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose ..... wait till you see it, you're going to love it:)

This time I added some glitter...I don't like that as well cause it sticks to the inside of the plastic .

Beautiful Friendship

These are SIP cards with such a versatile stamp set!! And it's just gorgeous, how can you not love it? Oh, what's a SIP card you ask? Stamp, Ink, Paper. Super simple right? Plus, this stamp set is just $22.00.

I love the freedom of just composing floral designs. I don't have to worry about any fancy fold, elaborate layout, use of dies or embossing folders, just SIP. It's so MUCH FUN I tell you!

The first card uses Daffodil Delight, Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green. To make the edges of a few petals a different shade, I stamped the roses in Daffodil Delight, then I used a sponge dauber in some Lovely Lipstick and very lightly sponged a bit right on the stamp, then stamped it on the paper.

The second card has the same stamping layout as one in the previous post, but with the lovely Garden DSP instead of a blue layer.

The third card was done wiht Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Grapefruit Gove.

The fourth card has lots of color right? Cardstock layers are Real Red and Gorgeous Grape, inks are: Real Red, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, and Gorgeous Grape.

The last card uses Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzaz inks, White and Melon Mambo cardstock.

On the first card I used the fairy's face as the center of a daisy, then simply popped it on with a couple dimensionals. The back ground is the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper, Isn't it just the cutest?
