Wreaths of Christmas

Peaceful Boughs is such a versatile stamp set. I made these wreaths by first using two circle dies to create a 'frame' of cardstock on which to build the wreath. Then it was simply a matter of gluing diecut boughs on top. I love the suble snowy effect I got by sponging Shimmer Paint on the wreaths and pine cones. The pine cones looked a little bare to me, so I found these mini bells in my stash. I'm pretty sure they were in the holiday catalog last year. Ribbons that coordinate in the cardstock colors are so wonderful. Oh, I nearly forgot to mention that strip of DSP that you see on the inside of my card. It was left over and I just decided to use it as an accent.

A Purpley Christmas

This was a fun card to make, I mean who does purple for Christmas? I love it! The boughs, pine cones, and layer behind message were cut from the Feels Like Frost DSP.

Blue Christmas

Can you hear Elvis? lol Blue has been my absolute favorite all time LOVE color ever since I can remember. When I saw what fellow Demo, Tami Hewlett did with the Peaceful Boughs bundle, I had to give it go. I loved adding the Snowball Puff Paint and Shimmer Paint to these designs! I ADORE the new Mercury Glass Acetate. There is a film on each sheet that you need to remove before uising. It's kind of like the film that covers some parts of printers. If you feel the Acetate carefully you will nice a very smooth side and a less smooth side. The film is on the smoothest side. I just used my pokey tool on the very corner to left it up.
This card has a Night of Navy card base, and panels die cut from white and the NEW MERCURY GLASS ACETATE. Swoon!! The word greetings stamped on Seaside Spray was cut out and popped up on top of the white. The boughs were diecut from Seaside Spray with puff paint added to the brances. Pinecone diecuts from Sparkle Glimmer paper, some retired Night of Navy Bakers' Twine, rhinestones and Seaside Spray metallic ribbon complete the card. Note.... when using the heat tool on the puff paint keep your ribbon away cause it will crumple an curl with intense heat.

Night of Navy card base, sheet of Mercury Glass Acetate, then a Crumb Caker layer 2-1/2" x 4." The greeting was stamped in Night of Navy with branches in Crumb Cake on Whisper White 2-1/4" x 4." Finally, a piece of Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon with a bow added to the botom.

This card has a Night of Navy base with a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Night of Navy that has been embossed with the Scripty embossing folder. The edges were sponged with Silvery Shimmer ink. The boughs were cut from Mercury Glass Acetate, Silver Glimmer Paper and Night of Navy. The Navy boughs were then sponged with Frost White Shimmer Paint. (LOVE that look). Pine cones were diecut from Night of Navy and Sparkle Glimmer Paper. The two diecut panels were cut from Whisper White and Seaside Spray. The greeting was embossed with white. Rhinestones for even more sparkle and gleam!
