Bloomin' Bouquet Project Kit

Mother's Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There's no watering, no weeding-just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.
As if that weren't enough, the kit contains a "baker's dozen"! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn't normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Anyone you encounter on your way that you'd like to give a little "thank you" to-and introduce them to Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! This and That Book

I'm making a smash book or mash book with the This and That kit. Love it!! I just finished the cover. Despite taking two photography classes, I still struggle with indoor shots of cards, crafts and artwork. In real life it looks so nice. I just can't get the vibrant color and light balance.

Book of Card Layouts

I found the coolest thing on Split Coast Stampers! There is a sub-forum called "Splitcoast Challenges." In this forum, there's a thread called, "Downloadable Sketch Files." There are color Sketches and Card Photos in PDF format as well as Word.  What a fantastic resource. You know, sometimes you just get in a rut, or your creative juices are simply not flowing. These sketches provide some great inspiration, soooo I printed them and using my trusty spiral binding machine, made them into a book. I decorated the cover with some retired and soon to retire papers and a current stamp set called, "Flowering Flourishes." Now whenever I need some inspiration when designing a card, it's at my fingertips!
If  you belong to Split Coast and would like to see them, here is a link.

Wanna hear something about the new Stampin' Up! catalog that's due out in June? Demonstrators got their magazine this week and we know some things {giggles} I can't show your pictures of anything yet, but I can tell you the names of the new In Colors for 2013-2015. They are sooooo pretty!! I can not wait to get my hands on them!!

Photopolymer Stamps

We've searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.
What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.

Spring Has Sprung in the South!

All our flowers are in bloom, trees are leafing out, it's soooo pretty. Driving around town it looks like a fairy land, with lacy dogwoods overhead and the riot of colors produced by azaleas underneath. Then there's the scent of wisteria ahhhh. This is my favorite time of year:)  Yeah, don't ask me how I love the deep south in July and August though!! lol

To celebrate spring, I made this card by cutting 1 1/4" squares of the Tea For Two designer Series paper found in the Spring catalog. I just got the Best of Flowers stamp set and I wanted to use that too, so I incorporated 4 stamped images as squares also. I worked really hard to spread out the texture and colors spacing them just so, and wouldn't you know it, just as the glue was drying.... I noticed I had the two brads right next to each other! arrgh!!I still like it though:)

Card Ministry

Yesterday was the first meeting of the Card Ministry at my church and I had such fun! I wanted to use my rubber stamping hobby in some way that would benefit St. John's. I asked our minster and the Director of Discipleship Resources what type of cards were sent to the congregation. It turns out that they send a quite a few for various reasons. I thought by forming a group of ladies to create beautiful hand-made cards it would give us the opportunity for fellowship while creating something for others to enjoy. Our first group was small, but I'm confident it will grow. Yesterday we made 30 cards. I'm excited that we already have donations of card stock, now I'm working on envelopes.
Our purpose is to provide hand-made greeting cards to the Church to use for:
  • Shut-ins
  • Get Well
  • Senior Birthdays
  • New Babies (to go with the Christening blankets given at Baptisms)
  • Sympathy
  • Fundraising efforts such as Honduras and Apple Fest
I only have one to show, because the rest are in the hands of our church staff:)

The Best of 25 Years!

For Stampin' Up!'s 25-year anniversary, we're bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets. These sets will release one set per month during 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each "Best of" set will also include a never-before seen image! I just LOVE this month's set, and it's only $14.95!! The butterfly image outlined in red coordinates with our "Elegant Butterfly" punch:) To see all the details click here.

Hang on to the proof of purchase sticker and adhere it to your Stampin' Up! collectors card, which is included with each stamp set. For every six Best Of sets, you can send in your collectors card for a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95!
