Last Card Ministry

I've lead the Card Ministry at our church for 14 years and, sadly, it has come to an end. This will be our last meeting. It's given me great joy to share this craft with others as we created cards that brought smiles to so many faces. The ladies who were part of the team are dear friends!

Materials:

  • Stamp Sets: Encircled in Nature, Special Moments

  • Ink Pads: Old Olive, Tuxedo Black

  • Cardstocks: Basic White, Mossy Meadow, Thoughtful Journey DSP

  • Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon

  • Scotch Tape

Preparation:

  • Gray Granite card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score @ 4-1/4

  • Thoughtful Journey DSP 3-1/2 x 3-1/2

  • Thoughtful Journey DSP 1-1/2 x 4-1/4

  • Mossy Meadow 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 (trees diecut)

  • Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 (inside)

Assemble Card:

  1. Stamp happy birthday in black ink in on top of card front.

  2. Diecut smaller circle just below birthday greeting.

  3. Glue DSP behind circle diecut.

  4. Tape ribbon to the back of DSP strip.

  5. Glue 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 DSP strip to far left side of card front. Use glue dot to attach faux bow to ribbon center.

  6. Diecut trees from Mossy Meadow cardstock. Glue to left lower section of diecut.

  7. Inside: stamp trees in Mossy Meadow ink, sentiment in black ink.

Materials:

  • Stamp Sets: Detailed Dogwood, Itty Bitty Birthdays, Christian Birthdays

  • Ink Pads: Petal Pink, Tuxedo Black

  • Cardstocks: Petal Pink, Basic White, Mossy Meadow

  • Stampin' Blends: Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lolly, Flirty Flamingo, Pecan Pie

  • Stampin' Dimensionals

Preparation:

  • Petal Pink card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score @ 4-1/4

  • Mossy Meadow 3-3/4 x 5

  • Basic White 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 (stamped layer)

  • Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 (inside)

  • Basic White 1 x 1-1/4 (number label)

  • Petal Pink 1-/2 x 1-1/2 (birthday greeting)

Assemble Card:

  1. 3 x 4-1/4 Basic White: Stamp dogwood and the & images in black ink. Color the Dogwood with Stampin' Blends. To get the lightest of the pinks fade to white on the petals, use the Color Lifter to feather the color along the edge. It’ll help soften the line between where the marker ends and the base color begins.

  2. Stamp row of dots stamp in Petal Pink ink on the left side of colored image.

  3. Glue stamped layer to green layer, then glue to card front.

  4. Basic White 1 x 1-1/4 stamp the label in black ink and fussy cut.

  5. Around the sentiment create a little cluster of imagery from the stamp set as shown:

    • adhere fussy cut label with Stampin' Dimensional.

    • Stamp birthday greeting in black ink on Petal Pink cardstock. Glue to bottom edge of the label.

  1. Inside: stamp dogwood branch and dragonfly in Petal Pink and dragonfly in Mossy Meadow ink
