Coming June 1

New Catalog Coming Soon!

Delightful Daisy

I saw this card on a fellow Demo's blog, Dawn Olchefske. I loved it and had to borrow her design. I think we've had enough daisys for a while, so I'm going to switch gears and make some things with two other new bundles from the new catalog.

Fresh As A Daisy

I'm creating like crazy with NEW things from the upcoming catalog. All the new products will be available when the catalog goes live on June 1. These cards are made from the Delightful Daisy product suite. The stamps, designer series paper and punch all coordinate of course and the colors used in the papers are GORGEOUS!

Daisy out of a Medallion

I sure do love the versatility of the Eastern Palace bundle! I recently saw some other Demos making sunflowers out of them and thought I'd give it a try too! Thanks Patty Bennett for the inspiration! I began by copying one of Patty's designs, then took off on my own. The samples below use Vintage Leaves and Flourishing Phrases die cuts and stamps for the leaves. I think the new faceted jewels will be gorgeous for the centers and can't wait for my order to get here on Monday!

Also on Monday, my camera mounting bracket should arrive. I built a table top filming stand out of PVC pipe. I'm anxious to get started filming videos for you! My first one will be on many of the possible ways to combine the thinlits in the Eastern Palace set and the product suite. I taught my students to video while teaching, so it won't be totally new to me. However, I will have to bring my knowledge of video editing out of the cobwebs in my brain lol.

Eastern Palace Suite

Today I experimented with the stamps in this set. I tried different variations of color, altered the design a bit and of course had ink smudges and cutting errors. One way of correcting some ink smudges was to use the Circle Framelits to cut out the center part of the design. I can now use it on another card. I could not get the border of words to fit around the outside exactly, so I used some of the small design stamps as spacers and I ended up liking it. The first image below is some of the experiments that I can use on other projects. REMEMBER, you can order a bundle of these products featuring a discount beginning May 1. After the new catalog goes into effect on June first, these products will be available, but NOT with the bundled discount.
