Spotlight Technique
I've been using up bits and pieces of stamped items and backgrounds, as I make samples for the technique binder I offer FREE to my customers. You can see pictures of it here.
Gosh, it's been years since I've done a spotlight card. But doing a sample for the book made me want to create more! The first card, using the stamp set "Heartland" has a verse that I put on the inside (Just a note to let you know I'm thinking of you). The second card is from the stamp set "Mediterranean Moments" and I"m not sure what greeting I want to put on it, perhaps a thank you. It's not finished yet, but I got so excited to share it I just couldn't wait! I colored both of them with Copic Markers.
The images in these two stamp sets make me want to travel.... back home to the farm in Indiana, and to the French countryside... big sigh....

Waterfall Card Tutorial
Waterfall cards are really not that hard to make. You choose some pretty paper, small stamp images and off you go. You can see a video tutorial from fellow Demo, Dawn Griffith.

- Calypso Coral card base: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
Cover with DSP 4 x 5-1/4.
Use 1-1/4 Circle Punch to create a half circle slot at the bottom center. - Strip of Calypso Coral 1 x 4/14 attach only at edges then secure with brads
- Powder Pink waterfall base 2 x 9: score at 2, 2-3/4, 3-1/2, 4-1/4
- Cut four 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 Whisper White
Cut four 2 x 2 Calypso Coral - stamp flowers on each of the four Whisper White squares, then mount to Calypso Coral squares
- With larger section of the Powder Pink strip facing towards you, adhere the mounted flower squares to the four smaller sections.
- Punch the long end of the strip with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. Then stamp greeting in that long section.
- Fold this strip so that the long piece with the message is at the back and the four panels are layered on top. Slide the long piece behind the Calypso Coral strip that you attached to the card base. Once through, center and adhere to the front side of the coral strip.
- Tie ribbon in the hole at the end.
