Notes & Totes

More Notes and Totes today, are you sensing a theme here? Yep, my New Catalog Launch party has a beach theme, so I'm busy making lots of things with this bundle. I will soon begin work on another suite of products from the new catalog too!

I made the cutting guide below to show the dies that come in this set and how they can be used to build many different types of bags. The little 'fish' shapes have been part of many discussion among Demos as we discussed how to use them. They are clasps, but can also be used as a decorative design on the handles.

  • Card Base: Boho Blue cs, with Crumb Cake diecut for 'sand' stamped sand grains
  • Shells diecut from Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight
  • Water Bottle and Suntan Lotion diecut from Balmy Blue and Lemon Lolly (stamped images in Peach Pie and Barmy Blue inks, attached to card base with dimensionals
  • Palm Tree cut from recently retired Beach Day dies (Garden Green and Pecan Pie)
  • Tote Bag: diecut from Melon Mambo cs, trim diecut from Pumpkin Pie, stamped with floral image in Melon Mambo ink, attached to card base with dimensionals
  • Glasses: diecut from Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black.
  • Newspaper: diecut from Basic White

Notes & Totes Dies!!!

This card has fun beachy feel, and I only used dies and designer series paper along with a retired embossing folder to create it. No stamping! Wow! The tote was cut from Woven Textures DSP, which is so cool for linen or straw tote bags. I really love the look that the new Beautiful Gallery DSP gives to the tote bag and the sunglasses too! I was looking for some type of print for the scarf that wasn't overpowering, I wanted subtle. I found it in Thoughtful Journey, which has carried over to the new catalog. Yay!

  • Card Base: Early Espresso Cardstock

  • 4-1/2 x 5-3/8 Basic Beige cs adhered to base

  • Emboss Basic Beige cs with the retired Old World 3D Embossing Folder, use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base

  • Layer on top another piece of Basic Beige cs, colored with a Blending Brush and a Cajun Craze ink pad

  • The purse: Notes & Totes Dies, along with the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. Floral images cut from Beautiful Gallery DSP

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock branches, cut out with one of the retired Forever Fern Dies.

  • Sunglasses were cut out from a Silver Foil cs, Early Espresso cs, and Beautiful Gallery DSP, using the Notes & Totes Bundle

  • The purse scarf: cut out from the Thoughtful Journey DSP, using another die from the Notes & Totes Bundle

  • The sentiment (from the Notes & Totes Bundle ) was heat-embossed on Early Espresso cs, using Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder

Update on Stampin' Up! Cloud Cover

As you may have heard, the new In Color, Cloud Cover full size ink pad was not released during the demonstrator preorder period (March to May 2025).

The full size Cloud Cover ink pad will not be available to customers, either. However, here are some solutions and more details for you!

Cloud Cover Update & Options

Color Shifted

  • The Cloud Cover ink has experienced a rare chemical reaction with the firm foam in the regular size Stampin’ UP! ink pads, and the color has changed (shifted) outside of the tolerance standards Stampin’ Up! allows.

These Cloud Cover products are OK:

  • The Cloud Cover ink is OK in the ink refill (in a felt Stampin’ Spot), the Stampin’ Blends markers, the Stampin’ Write markers, the cardstock, and the 6×6 paper stack

Your Options:

  • Customer options: purchase the uninked spots (#141822) and Cloud Cover ink refill and add ink to your spot to use as a “mini” ink pad, or, purchase the Stampin’ Spot assortment found on page 33 in the NEW catalog (#166716), which includes a Cloud Cover ink spot.

Available starting May 6, 2025
