Dragonfly Dreams
I started to use this card for Card Ministry tomorrow, but then I realized it's girly and I need another masculine card for the gentlemen of our congregation. So I did the same design with more manly colors! This stamp set and coordinating Thinlits will be available in the new Occasions catalog which begins on January 4.

Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek
This stamp set is one of my favs and is perfect for our new watercolor pencils! It's called Mediterranean Moments. There's another stamp set with world landmarks that I realize I need to have. It would have been the perfect background. I used the retired World Map on this one.
The watercolor pencils in SU colors and the stamps set will be available on January 4, 2017.

Spring Catalog, Sneak Peek
I've always been fascinated with dragonflies. I think they are so graceful and pretty. I love watching them dance around ponds and flowers. So naturally when I saw this stamp set in the new spring catalog, it was first on my list to purchase! I've enjoyed playing around with watercolor techniques with our reinkers and aqua brush. I think it's the perfect medium to use when trying to capture the ethereal nature of a dragonfly. First, I used some painter's tape to block off a square section on the watercolor paper. Then I spritzed it with a good amount of water: enough so that it pools up a bit on the surface of the paper. Using the Aqua Painter, I dropped color from the inside of my ink pads. This gave a nice subtle color effect, but I wanted a bit more saturation of color, so I dropped ink from the bottle on top of my paper in a few places to give another dimension or depth. I let it dry then stamped the dragonfly in Stazon and added color in the same manor. For the vellum layer, I brushed clear Wink of Stella over top, then dusted lightly with Dazzling Diamonds. The stamp set is called Dragonfly Dreams and the coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies will be available beginning January 4.
