Fun Birthday Card

I saw this card fold on fellow Demo Patty Bennett's blog and just had to try it! It is really pretty simple. It's just a half sheet of cardstock scored twice, then punched with a 2-inch circle punch.

1. Cut an 8 ½” x 11” sheet of cardstock in half at 4 ½” (portrait position, or lengthwise). You will then have a 4 ¼” x 11” piece for your card.
2. With the 11” side of the cardstock placed horizontally across your paper trimmer, score at 4 ¼” then at 8 ½.”
3. Punch a 2” Circle punch as shown in the diagram.
4. Fold into a trifold card and decorate as you like.
5. If you’d like to use designer series paper, cut 4” x 4” and 2 ¼” x 4.” Don’t forget to place a circle back in the space. I used a 1 ¾” circle punch for that part so that it would open and close smoothly.

It's My Party Product Suite

 I just LOVE our new Big Shot Die Brush!! It is the best thing to release the paper from the die, and it also brushes off most of those annoying little threads that cling to the edges of die cuts. Another company sells a very similar brush, but theirs does not come with the pad, which is essential. The soft surface of the pad allows the brush to push into the die cut and function much better. If you try using it on the a hard surface like your desk, the brush doesn't turn around on its wheel base. I also love the way it fits so nicely in my hand. I adore ergonomically designed tools:)
