I've made birdhouses before, but never a birdhouse box! What a great idea! A fellow Demo from across the pond, Karen Pearmain (https://www.craftylittlemissk.co.uk/) made a video that you can see here:

Base: cut a pieces of thick
cardboard, like mat-board or the backing from a paper pad 3-1/2” x
3-1/2” covered with Wood Textures DSP
Box Base: cardtock 5-3/8” x
5-3/8” score @ 1-1/2” on all four sides
House: cardstock 11” x 5”
score @ 2-1/2,” 5,” 7-1/2,” 10.” Then notch along long edge
with scoring tool @ 1,” 1-1/2,” 3-3/4,” 6,” 6-1/2,” 8-3/4.”
Mark 3-1/2” down each short side, then lightly draw a pencil line
across. (I stamped mine with Crackle Paint)
Roof: cardstock 6” x 3”
scored @ 3” (I embossed mine with Pinewood Planks embossing folder)
Roof Cap: 3” x 1” scored @
1/2”
Base – cut and glue box base,
then adhere to the heavy mat-board base.
House – at the 3-3/4” and
8-3/4” notches, score diagonally out to where the score lines meet
the pencil lines. At the other notch marks, cut down to pencil line.
Once everything has been cut correctly, it should look like
illustration below.
Using the smallest layering circle die,
cut the hole for the front of the bird house. Reinforce this by
cutting a ring using the two smallest circle dies. Glue the bird
house together, then using the tabs, adhere the roof.
