The Blooms and Wishes stamp set and the coordinating Designer Series Paper are just so darn pretty! I really wanted a Z fold card that could be made with 8 1/2 x 11 card stock and that would fold to the regular card size of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. So I fiddled with a piece of scrap card stock until I got it right!
  • Cut Thick Whisper White 5 ½ x 9 inches.
  • With the long side at the top, score at 4 ¼ and 7 ¼
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White 3 x 3 ¼ inches
  • The Designer Series Paper pieces are: 1 ½ x 5 ¼, 2 ¾ x 5 ¼, and 4 x 5 ¼ inches

Blooms in Sugarplum

I had such fun designing this card. I had a great helper too. Tesla is always interested in what I'm doing. She looks at each creation and sniffs it as if giving her approval. Of course she always wants to play, so she is sure to bring plenty of toys into the craft room when she is helping Mama.

For the flower on this card, I stamped in Blushing Bride, then sponged a bit of Sweet Sugarplum on the center of the stamp. After stamping the main image, I stamped the smaller center image in Rich Razzleberry. I love this look

Beautiful Papers Make Lovely Things

With the paper sale beginning this Saturday, I wanted to make something that really shows the gorgeous double-sided paper Stampin' Up! has. This origami folio is fun and I haven't made one in years and years! I remember making them with my 5th graders for Mothers' Day when I was teaching. We used wrapping paper and inside they put a pretty card or letter they made for Mom.

I stepped it up by using the Blooms and Bliss designer series paper. I just love the double sided-look for this project. I also adjusted the size to hold 4 cards and envelopes. Using the coordinating stamp set Blooms and Wishes just really makes a professional looking gift. Below are the folio and the 4 cards. Of course I stamped the insides and envelopes to match:)
FREE PDF tutorial Thank you for choosing me as your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I really appreciate your business.
