You've Got This

Some friends and I had a "Coloring Tea" a few days ago and it was such fun! We had afternoon tea, scones, fresh fruit and tea sandwiches. Then, we colored with Copic markers. Lots of fun girl talk and sharing ideas on how to color this lovely flower. Thanks Donna for being such a wonderful hostess:)

I also want to share this new ribbon. In the catalog it looks pretty, but in person, I discovered that you can pull apart the weave and shape it! Oh my goodness, is that cool or what? In the picture below, I pulled apart the top edge and left the bottom as it is on the roll. Can't you just see endless possibilities with this?

Strip of Floral

One of my favorite things to do, is sit in our big swing under a Japanese Maple overlooking a flower garden that contains a birdbath and feeders. Watching the birds and hearing their song is so uplifting. My Australian Shepherd, Cricket, sits cuddled up next to me on the swing hoping to be petted constantly. I've never had a dog who loves to be petted as obsessively as Cricket does.

This card reminds me of some of some of the flowers in that garden. There is always something blooming in each of the gardens on our property. I'm fortunate enough to have a husband with 10 green thumbs! Seriously, remember Mr. Captain Kangaroo? Mr. Green Jeans has nothing on my husband! He has an extensive library of gardening books and is extremely knowledgeable of all things green.
I colored these flowers with Copic markers, but they can easily be done with Stampin' Up! inks and a blender pen or Aqua Painter

Peachy Pretty

I love this stamp, it is so much fun to color with Copics. I wanted to match the Watermelon Wonder, so I used, R22, R20, and YR18. I used the retired Darling Doily Thinlits, and cut just a corner of it to put behind the flower.

More Pretties

You've Got This is such a gorgeous stamp set! On the second one, I stamped the background image in Crumb Cake, and stamped the flower in Tip Top Taupe for a tone on tone look. I bought the brads on the clearance rack last year and still have some left. I think it's fun to use things from my stash now and again:)

You've Got This!

I simply adore this new stamp set! I really played around with shapes and textures for the layouts of these cards. It's fun to design your own card, but I get plenty of ideas from Pinterest too. I'm expecting two big orders next week from the new catalog and I am soooo excited!!!!! I can't wait to show you what I got:D

You've Got This

I LOVE this new stamp set! It will be available when the new catalog goes live on June 2nd. I just adore this color pairing of Lost Lagoon with the new Mint Macaron:)
I learn all kinds of interesting things on the Stampin' Up! Demo board. For instance there are two types of cookies, a macaron and a macroon. I didn't know there was a difference. Because of our new color, Mint Macaron, I now know.

Macarons are made of almond meringue cookies sandwiched together with buttercream, ganache, or jam.
macaron is pronounced Mack-ah-ron (sounds like the name Ron)

A coconut macaroon is a drop cookie made of egg whites, sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and coconut. They are most commonly dipped in chocolate, as well. This style of macaroon is most commonly found in Italian bakeries, and in many bakeries throughout the U.S.
macaroon is pronounced Mack-ah-roon (sounds like kangaroo).
