Blackberry Beauty Bliss!!

I sure do love this Designer Series Paper!!! The colors are some of my favorites, plus the ephemera pack makes it so much fun to create card. If you are one of my customers, you receive a FREE tutorial for the first two cards.

Mosaic Card

  1. To make the mosaic cards, cut cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4, cover with adhesive sheet.
  2. Use scraps of DSP to cover the adhesive, leaving spaces in between.
  3. Apply gold emboss powder to all the exposed adhesive, then set with heat tool.

Flip Flap Card

  1. Card base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/5 score @4-1/4 cardstock A. Do not attach the next cardstock and DSP layers until after you attach Flap #1

  • 4-1/8 x 5-1/8 cardstock B

  • 4 x 5-1/4 DSP

  1. Flap #1: cardstock B 6-1/2 x 3 score 1 inch from end, flag the other end, then adhere to top of card base

    • DSP to cover flap 2-7/8 x 4-1/8 flag ends

      • Square on top of Flap cardstock A: 3-1/4 x 2-3/4

      • cardstock B: 3-1/8 x 2-5/8

      • DSP: 3 x 2-1/2

Attach DSP and cardstock layers from first step, they will overlap the Flap.

  1. Flap #2: cardstock B 8-1/8 x 3 score in half at 4-1/16. Adhere folded flap to the DSP on card front, lining up with the left hand side.

  2. Inside: Basic White 4 x 5-1/4

Feels Like Home Christmas

I used a bunch of stamp sets right on the Designer Series Paper. I just looked for a mixture of leaves and Christmas looking things! lol

Watercolor Pencil Fun

I have always loved watercolor as a medium. I usually like it better when they belong to others lol. When painting, I have never been able to achieve the effects like I do with acrylic paints. However, with color pencils and stamping I get much better results.

I had fun yesterday making these four cards. I began stamping the images onto watercolor paper with Crumb Cake ink, then coloring with pencils and a small paint brush. A Water Brush works well too. I just painted them various colors, then when finished, I selected colors of cardstock that complemented each piece. Next I went to my DSP stash and chose paper colors that complemented what I had gathered so far. I then used the retired Scripty embossing folder. I used the same layout for each one, embellishing them with 2021-2022 In Color Jewels and some retired Glitter Dots. I also used the Triple Banner punch to flag the ends of the DSP.

Left: Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede, Fine Floral DSP
Right: Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Fine Floral DSP

Left: Pear Pizzazz, Pale Papaya, Daffodil Delight Expressions in Ink DSP
Right: Rich Razzleberry, Highland Heather, Blackberry Beauty DSP

Quick and Easy.... And GORGEOUS!

In the Holiday Catalog there is some simply stunning Designer Series Paper called Blackberry Beauty. It does have coordinating products that Stampin' Up! is known for. However, I created the following cards using just the DSP and the Ephemera Pack. They worked up quick and easy, and they are quite lovely. I did use some other stamps that I have on hand and a diecut from the Sparkle of the Season bundle. For less than $25 you can have the DSP and the Ephemera Pack to make a type of card kit! Use other stamps and ribbons you have on hand to make some magic!
