String Theory

Our Stamping Fellowship met today and we did three great cards.
This first technique is the MOST FUN EVER!! You never know what you're gong to get and it sooooo simple:) There are written directions below, but here is a video if you'd like to see the process.

Classic Label Punch, notebook, paint palette


1. Peekaboo Peach card base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and score at 4-1/4
2. Whisper White 4 x 5-1/4 for inside
3. Flirty Flamingo scraps, stamp greeting and punch out
4. Place Gamboge, Brilliant Red, and Mossy Green Brusho Powders in three adjacent
sections of paint palette, then add 5-6 drops of water in each
5. 16" of Linen Thread - twirl and soak one end in Gamboge, then the next section in
Red, and the last section in moss...... BUT be sure to leave a tail to pull from that
has no color on it.
6. Small piece of adhesive on two facing pages in notebook. Place two pieces of
Shimmery White 4 x 5-1/4 on top of one and stack other paper on top.
7. Slowly pick up saturated thread and lay down on one paper in loopy loop shapes
with the tail of the thread hanging off the bottom of notebook page.
8. Close notebook and gently press down, then holding one hand on top of notebook,
pull thread out QUICKLY. Open notebook and reveal fancy schmancy abstract
artwork.
9. Inside and Envelope - stamp dragonfly

3/8 Circle Punch, Apron Framelits, 1-3/4 Circle Punch

  1. Card base: Basic Black cut 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 score at 4-1/4
  2. Whisper White cardstock 4 x 5-1/4
  3. 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 red DSP with apron Framelit
  4. 2 x 4 black DSP with Framelits for pocket, apron ties and neck thingy
  5. 1 x 2 Basic Black rolling pin Framelit for base of grill
  6. 1-3/4 Circle Punch from Basic Black and cut in half for grill
  7. 3/8 Circle Punch from Smoky Slate for the hinge thingy on grill
  8. Grilling utensils from Silver Foil
  9. Stamp grass along bottom in Call Me Clover
  10. Inside and Envelope stamp grass in Call Me Clover

1. Very Vanilla card base: cut 4-1/4 x 11 score at 5-1/2
2. 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 Very Vanilla - Use painter's tape (cut to be more narrow) and 'stamp' length-wise on Sahara Sand ink pad. Then 'stamp' on bottom of cardstock. Repeat with Marina Mist and Soft Sky.
3. Use Stamparatus to stamp greeting and chair frame in Early Espresso, then chair covering in Night of Navy
4. Adhere 3 Glitter Dots
5. Adhere 4-1/4 x 1-1/2 strips of Marina Mist and Island Indigo along the bottom of card base.
6. Pop entire card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and adhere Linen Thread bow
7. Inside and Envelope stamp glass and flowers
