I got this idea from a fellow Demo in Australia, Karen Robinson. They were so cute I just had to add this to my collection of treat holders. Again, here is that AMAZING designer series paper, Toil and Trouble. I've had the MOST fun creating with this paper! This little bag/box is 3-1/2″ x 1-3/4″ x 1″ and holds a fun size candy bar. I think that's what they were called. The Dollar Store had Snickers, M&M's, Twix and Reeses', making this a very affordable little piece of fun for the adults in my life. Kids are grown, so I like to spread sunshine to adults now!
- DSP: 6″ x 6″
- If your paper has a directional pattern to it, place the top of the design to the right side on your Scoring Tool and score at 1″ & 4-1/2.″ (The 4-1/2" score line will be the top of the bag.)
- Turn 90º counter clockwise
- Score at 1″, 2-3/4″, 3-3/4″ &
5-1/2″
- Fold and burnish all score lines
- With the 4 score lines running
vertically cut up each of them to the 1″ horizontal score line to create the
base, remove the small tab on one side
- Turn 180º
- Remove the small rectangle from left side
tab, keep the next section, cut up to the 4-1/2″ score line to
create the flap, remove the remaining sections
- Round the lid corners with corner rounder
- Add adhesive to the side tab and base
sections and assemble
- Pinch the top closed to create gusseted
sides, secure with a tiny clothespin, decorative clip or paper clip
- Decorate as desired
