Five Panel Pop Out

I like this fun fold, and I've learned a couple of things that I will be sure to do next time:) These are both pretty cards when open, but when closed, the top and bottom of the back panel is visible. With that in mind, on the last panel, I'll put the strip of DSP on the left edge and I will stamp a small image on the bottom right only.

It's a much simplier card if you have just a card base and one layer, ie DSP. However adding an additional cardstock layer, does give it a certain flair. In the directions below, you'll find the cutting measurements for that additional layer as well.

My favorite, because of the end panel

All measurements in inches
  1. Card Base: 4-1/4 x 11, with long side across the top, score at 3-5/8 and 7-1/4 on the long side
  2. Then at the 2” mark, score down 1” only, then repeat this at the 5-1/4 mark
  3. Flip the cardstock around so that the short side is across the top, Score to make the two marks meet between the 2 and 5-1/4 inch score lines
  4. Cut a slit between the 2” and 5-1/4 inch score lines
  5. Repeat this on the opposite side so top and bottom of card are matching
  6. Fold and burnish by popping out cut section and pushing back on score lines
  7. You will notice a bit of the end panel (the largest) sticking out a bit beyond the pop out panel. Snip off 1/8 inch to align.

*Layers for Card Base
  1. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3-1/4 x 4 for the end panel
  2. Stamp sentiment, add a strip of DSPmeasuring 1 x 3-3/4 on the left edge
